Happy Nevada Day
Silver State Wealth Management was formed on the foundation of being native Nevadans, with a focus on the community we have been a part of our entire lives. While we are partial, Nevada is truly an incredible state that has so much to offer. There is no denying that the area of Northern Nevada has changed immensely over the years, much like any other growing community, but many of the great underlying qualities of this amazing community have remained intact. This is something we can assure you we have been and will continue to make efforts in retaining and advancing.
Small Town Feel
While Reno is known as the biggest little city, I’d like to touch on the “little” part. For me, having a “small town” feel, where folks know and help each other is truly incredible. With nearly 300k residents calling this area home, it is still far from rare that we have the opportunity to run into friends, family and clients while at a restaurant, grocery shopping, or enjoying a piece of the amazing “backyard” we have here. This undoubtedly adds to the feeling of being home.
Sense of Community
Neighbors helping neighbors seems to be more and more rare in today’s world. Fortunately, Nevada is still an exception to that in my opinion. This would be an example of some of those great community qualities I mentioned earlier that we have dedicated much of our professional careers to ensure are not eroded or disappear entirely. As you know, the form our efforts take are rooted in financial planning and advising. Despite your outlook on finances, individual situation, or even prior experiences, this is something that touches and affects us all.
Planning for the Future, Living in the Moment
As we know, life gets busy and can even be well past chaotic at times. It can be quite easy for that to do list to grow, but eventually, tomorrow becomes today, and we are here to assist in that. Personally, an ever-growing list of to do’s can be daunting, and unquestionably takes away from living in the moment. Our mission and credo are: “We plan for the future, so you can live in the moment”. I have learned that daunting feeling nearly evaporates once I get a plan together. Ben Franklin’s alleged words: “Fail to plan, plan to fail”.
The Importance of Trust in Financial Advising
Finding the right financial advisor should not be taken lightly but does not necessarily need to be difficult. I offer some advice that working with someone you have confidence in, can trust, and know that they have your best interest can be a great place to start. I have shared before and will share again, this is a relationship business, at least for us it is. Without a strong relationship, it just flat out does not work. Pursuing an arrangement with a financial advisor absent of a strong relationship will likely yield underwhelming results.
Personalized Financial Planning for Your Goals
Should you, or others you know, be in a situation where financial planning would be a positive influence, we would love to have a conversation to see how we can help. Financial planning absolutely has a “nuts and bolts” component to it, but as we see it, it is a matter of understanding you and your goals and then developing a plan for that bridge to be made. We are blessed to be a part of this amazing community and intend on doing everything we can to make positive contributions and keep it that way.
Our highlight this week is shining more of a light on this amazing, Battleborn state. As many of you know, a very special day is rapidly approaching. I hope you all enjoy and have a safe Nevada Day! Home means Nevada!
